Solution Architect

About the Role

At InstaCódigo, we are looking for a Solution Architect to join our growing team. This role is central to designing innovative software solutions and providing technical leadership to delivery teams. You will be accountable for ensuring that the solutions we deliver are technically sound and fully accepted by our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of software solutions and guide delivery teams with strong technical leadership.
• Participate in vendor assessments and selection processes.
• Work with the pre-sales team to design proposed solutions during the bidding phase.
• Prepare scope of work (SoW) proposals, professional services sizing, assumptions, and prerequisites for software project bids.
• Participate in customer demos and presentations to showcase and promote our solutions.
• Attend requirement-gathering workshops and prepare business requirements documentation.
• Develop project strategy documents (e.g., configuration management strategy, migration plans, go-live strategy).
• Participate in and review testing strategy documents.
• Prepare high-level design documents, including end-to-end architecture and integration scenarios in collaboration with technical architects.
• Review and audit technical documentation from development teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment with scope and architecture guidelines.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an architect and engineering lead in data and analytics streams.
• Strong understanding of data structure principles and data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms involving big data, data management solutions, and data virtualization.
• Expertise in data management philosophies and governance processes.
• Pre-sales experience with RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-driven mindset.
• Excellent understanding of both traditional and distributed computing paradigms.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouse, data lake, and BI concepts.
• Proficiency with relational, NoSQL, and big data databases, with the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend solutions to clients.

Technical Skills

• Data Integration: ETL tools (Talend, Informatica), ingestion (Flume, Kafka).
• Data Modelling: Dimensional and transactional modelling (RDBMS, NoSQL, Big Data). Snowflake modelling is a plus.
• Data Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, Kibana.
• Master Data Management (MDM): Informatica MDM, Talend MDM.
• Big Data: Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Pig, Hive).
• Data Processing Frameworks: Spark, Spark Streaming.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Data Modelling Tools: ERWin, TOAD, PowerDesigner.
• Cloud Ecosystems: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Strong understanding of data ecosystem trends and future technologies.

Personal Skills

• TOGAF certification is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
